Rooted in Mitchell's Plain since 1994.
Samora Machel Educare was founded by Doris Sipondo in 1994 with a simple belief: every child deserves a warm, safe space to grow. Today we care for 55 learners from babies through Grade R.
Our story
What began as a small community initiative has grown into a registered NPO (No. 030-340), trusted by families across Weltevreden Valley North. For over three decades our teachers have opened the doors at 7am, ready to greet each child by name.
We follow a play-based, love-first approach — grounded in the National Curriculum Framework and delivered by qualified educators.
